Can a small Utah community bank become the go-to sponsor-bank rails (lending balance-sheet + BIN + payments hub) for fintechs?

The story

Founded 2000 as Utah Community Bank, a traditional community bank in Sandy/Murray, Utah. Rebranded to FinWise Bank and pivoted to sponsor banking — providing balance-sheet, BIN sponsorship, and compliance rails to fintech lending programs. IPO'd on NASDAQ (FINW) in 2021. Today the strategic-programs business (loans originated for fintechs like Backd, and BIN sponsorship for card programs) is the growth engine, layered on top of a small community-bank retail footprint. Recently building out MoneyRails, an in-house payments hub bringing multi-rail money movement under one API.
