Braspag started as an independent payment gateway and orchestration platform for Brazilian e-commerce, providing multi-acquirer connectivity and anti-fraud tools. It was acquired by Cielo, Brazil's dominant card acquirer, and has since operated as Cielo's digital/e-commerce payments infrastructure layer. Today Braspag-branded products (Split de Pagamento, Gateway de Pagamento, Gestão de Risco) are sold under the Cielo E-commerce umbrella, effectively making Braspag the embedded payments infrastructure for Cielo's merchant and marketplace clients.
