The story

Linx is Brazil's largest retail management software house (POS/ERP), founded in 1985 and IPO'd in 2019. In 2020 it was acquired by StoneCo for $1.1B, becoming Stone's software+payments vertical arm — that deal introduced Linx Pay, Gateway Linx, and QR Linx as embedded-payments products layered on top of Linx's retail ERP footprint. In July 2025 TOTVS completed the acquisition of Linx from Stone for R$3.05B (roughly half the Stone price), consolidating the company under the TOTVS retail umbrella and rebranding parts of it as 'TOTVS Linx'.
