The story

Orderwise is a UK ERP/WMS/stock-control software vendor for wholesalers, distributors and retailers, founded in 1991 in Lincoln. Acquired by pan-European industrial-software group Forterro in July 2022, it has since been rolled into Forterro's UK cluster and rebranded from 'Wise Software (UK) Ltd / OrderWise' to Orderwise. The strategic direction is a shift from on-premise deployments to Orderwise Cloud, hosted on AWS, with a growing emphasis on AI-assisted customer support. Embedded finance is limited to payment gateway integrations inside the ERP (Stripe, GoCardless, SagePay, Braintree, Worldpay, SecurePay) rather than a first-party fintech offering.
