The story

Founded in 2008 in Munich as a bank data aggregation and analysis service, finAPI evolved into one of Germany's leading BaFin-licensed AISP/PISP providers under PSD2. Held by SCHUFA for several years, it was acquired by Italian Open Finance group Fabrick (Sella Group) in 2024/2025, becoming a core piece of a pan-European open finance / embedded payments platform. Product scope has extended from pure account aggregation to Data Intelligence (categorization, cashflow, risk, KreditCheck), KYC via GiroIdent, and SEPA / instant payment initiation.
