The story

Treez started in 2016 as a cannabis-focused enterprise POS and inventory platform for dispensaries. Cannabis retailers' persistent inability to access mainstream card rails pushed Treez to build an embedded fintech layer (TreezPay) around its POS — launching a proprietary ACH product (Swifter ACH), a multi-provider payments gateway with a single application (OneApp), and an embedded working-capital product with Lendica (PayLater). The current strategy is to be the payments and financing hub of cannabis retail on top of the POS, using orchestration rather than becoming a single processor.
