The story

Salt Edge began in 2013 as a bank-data aggregator and evolved into a full open banking / open finance platform covering both AIS (data aggregation) and PIS (payment initiation) across 5,000+ banks in 50+ countries. It runs its own regulated stack via Salt Edge Limited (UK FCA AISP) and EU AISP subsidiaries (Spendee, BudgetBakers), and additionally offers an Open Banking Compliance product to banks/EMIs needing to become PSD2/UK OB compliant — positioning itself as both a TPP and a compliance-tech vendor to ASPSPs.
