The story

Payapps was founded in Australia in 2014 as a cloud tool to standardise progress claims (payment applications) between main contractors and subcontractors, then expanded to the UK, Ireland and New Zealand. Following a 2022 integration partnership with Autodesk Construction Cloud, Autodesk acquired the company in 2024, positioning Payapps as the construction payment/compliance workflow layer within the broader Autodesk Construction Cloud stack. It has recently begun adding embedded finance-adjacent features such as Early Payment Requests to support subcontractor cash flow.
