The story

Outpave is a very early-stage (2023, ~9-person) Texas fintech targeting SMB trade businesses — construction, property management, trucking, service businesses. Rather than building its own BaaS, it sits entirely on top of Stripe's embedded finance stack (Stripe Treasury + Stripe Issuing / 'Stripe Spend' with Celtic Bank issuing and Fifth Third holding funds). The strategic move in 2025 was to launch a white-label version of the platform so other SaaS/AP platforms can resell Outpave's Stripe-powered stack under their own brand — turning a niche vertical spend tool into an embedded-finance distribution layer.
