The story

Movile started in 1998 as a mobile content / SMS company (Compera, later Yavox) and evolved into a Latin American tech holding controlled by Prosus/Naspers. Its most valuable bet is iFood; around that core it built a portfolio (Sympla, PlayKids, Zoop, Afterverse, Sinch, Moova, Mensajeros Urbanos) plus a fintech arm MovilePay. The embedded-finance thesis is concentrated in MovilePay, which acts as the 'bank for restaurants' of the iFood ecosystem — offering digital accounts, cards, POS acquiring, credit and receivables advance to iFood merchants, and holding a Brazilian SCD license since 2023.
