The story

Founded in 2015 as a receipt-scanning app, Klippa evolved into a broader Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) and expense management SaaS business, offering both its DocHorizon (IDP platform) and SpendControl (pre-accounting and expense management) products. The company expanded into embedded finance by partnering with Pliant in 2023 to issue Visa business credit cards directly to its SpendControl customers, deepening its role in the corporate spend lifecycle. Klippa was subsequently acquired by German ECM vendor Doxis (SERgroup Holding International), with products now being rebranded under the Doxis umbrella.
