The story

Founded in 2023 by former Circle Asia Pacific head Raagulan Pathy, KAST was built from day one as a stablecoin-native financial platform targeting emerging markets and globally mobile users underserved by traditional banking. Rather than starting with a conventional neobank and adding crypto, KAST placed stablecoin rails at the core: USD and EUR accounts, USDC/USDT-based payments, and a debit card accepted at 150M merchants. By 2026 it pivoted from purely consumer to also targeting businesses with KAST Business, embedding payroll and cross-border payout capabilities alongside yield-generating vaults for idle balances.
