The story
Founded in 2017 as Syncbnb, a calendar/rate sync tool for short-term rental hosts. Rebranded to Hosthub in 2021 after weathering COVID and merging with LatAm player Getabed, positioning itself as a broader property management platform (PMS + channel manager + booking engine + AI co-host). The embedded finance angle is limited — Hosthub sells software subscriptions and does not act as merchant of record for bookings; instead it built a custom Vrbo API integration explicitly to let Vrbo keep handling payments, and its own booking engine passes hosts to third-party payment gateways.
