The story

Dext began life in 2010 as Receipt Bank, a UK receipt-capture tool for accountants and bookkeepers. It rebranded to Dext in 2020 to reflect a broader bookkeeping-automation platform spanning receipt capture, expense management, and accounting-software connectors. Acquired into the IRIS Software Group, Dext is now extending into embedded payments — partnering with Airwallex (2025) and launching Dext Payments (2026) to close the AP workflow from invoice capture through to bank-rail payment and reconciliation.
