The story

Founded 1986 as a Dutch PC software house, Davilex straddled two markets — business accounting software for SMEs and budget PC games (the Racer franchise) — before the games arm went defunct in 2005. The accounting product line (Davilex Basic / Plus / Pro) survived and the company was ultimately acquired by Visma Software International, folding into Visma Software BV. Today Davilex is a legacy offline/desktop bookkeeping brand within the Visma group targeting Dutch small businesses.
