The story

SEB is a major Nordic bank (Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB) headquartered in Stockholm. In recent years it has built out SEB Embedded, an API-first embedded finance platform that allows third-party businesses to embed regulated financial services — including card issuance, compliance, and banking infrastructure — directly into their own products. This reflects a strategic shift toward becoming an infrastructure and BaaS provider in addition to its traditional corporate and institutional banking activities. SEB also offers receivables and supply chain finance across Europe, the Americas, and Asia, and has embraced cloud partnerships (Google Cloud) to modernise its technology estate.
