The story

Founded in 2005 as TinyERP, Odoo evolved from a narrow open-source ERP into a full-stack business application suite covering CRM, accounting, HR, e-commerce, inventory, and more. The company's embedded finance journey accelerated in the late 2010s with native accounting, bank reconciliation, and PSP integrations (Stripe, Mollie, Adyen). By Odoo 18/19, the platform began offering Stripe-powered expense cards, blurring the line between SaaS ERP and embedded fintech platform. The go-to-market model relies heavily on a large open-source community and a marketplace of third-party app connectors.
