The story

Founded in 2012 as a pure-play French e-commerce site for DIY and gardening, ManoMano rapidly expanded into a multi-country marketplace model across six European markets. Following its $2.6B Series F in 2021, the company built out a formal embedded finance stack — adding seller working capital via Storfund, consumer BNPL via Klarna, embedded insurance via Evy, and marketplace payment infrastructure via Mangopay. After the growth surge of 2020-2021, the company has faced a more challenging macro environment and has focused on monetizing its seller base through financial services rather than chasing further GMV growth at a loss.
