The story

Founded in 2020 as a pure mortgage brokerage platform for UAE home buyers, Huspy digitized a paper-heavy process by aggregating bank rates and enabling online pre-approval. By 2023, it pivoted from a single-product mortgage tool into a broader real estate 'super app' covering properties, agents, and post-purchase services (furniture, maintenance, property management), and simultaneously expanded geographically into Spain. The embedded finance angle is narrow but deliberate: Huspy facilitates a payment gateway for property valuation fees and connects buyers to bank mortgage products, earning referral commissions rather than holding its own balance sheet.
