Housebuilder Pro began in 2018 as a bespoke build for Shropshire-based Shingler Homes, developed by Shrewsbury software agency Shoothill. Recognising the gap between spreadsheet-based tools and expensive enterprise volume-housebuilder platforms, Shoothill spun the product out as its own subsidiary Housebuilder Pro Ltd. The platform has stayed vertically focused on small-to-mid-sized UK housebuilders — sales/CRM, plot management, Part L/Part B compliance, snagging and aftercare — rather than pivoting into finance rails. Any embedded-finance surface is limited to a lightweight in-app 'plot payments' feature for specification and legal fees.
