Holded was founded in 2016 as a cloud ERP for Spanish SMBs and freelancers, competing with legacy on-premise accounting software. Acquired by Visma in 2021 for ~€120M, it became the group's Iberian SMB accounting/ERP anchor. Its embedded-finance angle is Holded Wallet — a business payment account launched with Swan as BaaS provider — turning what was a bookkeeping app into an integrated collect-pay-reconcile loop. In 2026 it added an AI-first pivot with an MCP server and a public REST v2 API.
