The story

GetSavvi Health was established to democratise access to private healthcare for South Africans who cannot afford traditional medical aid — a market of over 50 million people. The company operates as an authorised FSP and health insurance intermediary (not a medical scheme), distributing affordable day-to-day health cover underwritten by Lion of Africa Life Assurance and funeral cover underwritten by KGA Life. It has since expanded from a pure individual/family direct-to-consumer insurer to a white-label B2B channel serving corporates, unions, and associations under the 'Businesses' proposition. GetSavvi Health was subsequently acquired by Workforce Holdings, operating as an operating subsidiary.
