The story

Funnel Leasing (not to be confused with the Stockholm-based marketing SaaS 'Funnel') was founded in 2011 as a multifamily leasing platform and evolved into an AI-infused, PMS-agnostic Renter Management Software (RMS) CRM for property owners and operators. Its embedded finance surface area is deliberately narrow: rent payment processing via Stripe and applicant identity/income verification via Plaid and Finicity through 'FunnelSecure'. Funnel does not act as a payment processor, money transmitter, or credit reporting agency itself — those flows are entirely delegated to third-party vendors. The 2026 ChatGPT rent-payment demo signals a pivot toward agentic AI as the interaction surface for embedded rent flows.
