“Can a hospitality PMS become the operating system for 28,000+ independent accommodations by aggregating (not replacing) payment and distribution providers?”
Founded in 2003 as Frontdesk, a UK travel booking platform sold to tourist boards. Rebranded in 2011 and relaunched in 2013 as eviivo Suite, an all-in-one cloud PMS for independent accommodations. Expanded internationally through acquisitions of Xotelia (2017) and Rezo/Weber (2019), and was acquired by PE firm Investcorp. Rather than build its own payment rails like competitor Mews (which secured an EMI license), eviivo's strategy is aggregator-of-processors: 50+ card processor integrations, keeping merchants un-locked from any single PSP.
