The story

Envel launched in 2020 as a consumer neobank built on a Q2 BaaS + nbkc Bank stack, using AI and behavioral science to automate budgeting, savings and investing. After roughly two years of live operation with a small user base, the company sold its underlying technology platform to BM Technologies (BankMobile) and effectively wound down the consumer app; Pitchbook now lists the company as out of business. Envel's legacy is therefore an infrastructure/IP exit rather than a scaled consumer bank.
