The story

eitje is a Dutch vertical SaaS for hospitality (horeca), founded ~2015 in Amsterdam by Joris Rood. It began as a simple scheduling tool for restaurant managers and has broadened into a workforce-management suite covering rosters, time tracking, a clock-in system (kloksysteem), hour balances, internal communication, onboarding and financial exports. The product is positioned narrowly around horeca sub-verticals — restaurants, hotels, shops, beach clubs, sport & recreation, campsites, bakeries and ice-cream parlours — with free integrations to payroll and HR systems rather than an embedded-finance play of its own.
