The story

Founded in 2016 as a product of Ecuadorian software consultancy Ecuanexus-IT S.A., Ecuafact started as a basic electronic invoicing tool for small entrepreneurs to comply with Ecuador's SRI tax authority. Over time it expanded upmarket by adding digital signatures, mobile apps, multi-RUC corporate plans, and API/ERP integrations. By 2026 it had grown to over 100,000 users and positioned itself as a compliance-first SaaS for Ecuador's mandatory immediate transmission regulation—making tax compliance software a recurring subscription business for SMBs, accountants, and large enterprises.
