The story

Dojah launched in 2021 as a KYC/identity verification API for African fintechs and joined YC's W22 batch. Over 2023–2025 it evolved from a pure ID-verification vendor into a broader anti-fraud and risk-intelligence platform (Anti-Fraud Hub + Identity Hub), covering transaction monitoring, AML, credit checks and financial-data connections. Its strategic angle is to be the horizontal compliance/fraud layer underneath Africa's digital economy, competing with Smile ID and Youverify.
