The story

Decidir is the e-commerce payment gateway brand of Prisma Medios de Pago, Argentina's dominant payments infrastructure company originally formed by 14 Argentinian banks and Visa. Originally launched in 1999 under SOLAR Servicios On Line Argentina S.A., Decidir evolved into the leading online card payment gateway in Argentina, supporting Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners, Tarjeta Naranja, Tarjeta Shopping, and Cabal. Prisma, and by extension Decidir, received a significant ownership change in 2019 when Advent International acquired a 51% majority stake, separating the business from its bank-consortium origins. Decidir continues to operate alongside sibling products including LaPOS (POS terminals), Pagomiscuentas (bill payments), and Banelco (ATM network).
