The story
Connect Earth launched in 2021 as a transaction-level carbon-footprint API for retail and business banks — the classic 'green banking' embedded data play. In 2025 it acquired Sweden-based Datia, extending the platform up-market into institutional ESG (SFDR PAI, EET, EU Taxonomy, MiFID II) for asset managers and asset owners. The result is a repositioning from consumer-carbon-insights vendor to a full 'Sustainable Finance Operating System' spanning retail, SME, wealth, and institutional portfolios.
