The story

Chift launched in 2022 as a Belgian 'unified API for financial data' — a European counterpart to Codat/Rutter/Merge focused on accounting, POS, ecommerce, invoicing, payments, and PMS connectors. Its wedge is deep European coverage (Pennylane, Exact, DATEV, Odoo, Sage 200 ES, a3ERP, Tripletex, Zelty, Planity, Lightspeed) that US-centric competitors lack. In 2026 it repositioned around the AI era, launching Chift for AI / MCP server so agentic products can act on financial systems through one integration.
