The story

Alavie began in 1994 as a compliance consultancy for Italian professional firms (commercialisti, consulenti del lavoro, notai, avvocati, estate agents) covering AML (antiriciclaggio), GDPR/privacy, cybersecurity, Model 231/whistleblowing, and ISO certifications. Over time it productised its services into a SaaS platform — Laegis AML / Laegis Accountant — which automates roughly 95% of the manual AML workflow for accounting and professional offices. In September 2025 Norwegian enterprise software group Visma acquired a majority stake, folding Alavie into its Italian professional-services software stack (which already included Fiscozen) while keeping the Alavie brand independent.
