The story

Upflow started as a pure-play accounts receivable automation tool for B2B finance teams — think invoice tracking, aging dashboards, and automated payment reminders. In October 2024 it announced a strategic expansion into B2B payments by launching its own payment gateway ('Payments by Upflow') built on Stripe's white-labeled infrastructure, directly competing with standalone payment processors in the AR workflow. Simultaneously it rebranded its positioning to 'Financial Relationship Management', signalling an ambition to become the financial CRM layer between sellers and their enterprise customers — not just a collections tool.
