The story

TikTok evolved from a short-video app into a full creator-economy and social-commerce platform. Starting in 2024, ByteDance began stacking embedded finance on top — Shop Capital (lending via Parafin/Kanmon/Storfund), then Cover Genius and ERGO NEXT for embedded insurance, and in April 2026 a UK debit card and business account with Visa aimed at TikTok LIVE creators. The Creator Card is the first banking product TikTok has put under its own brand, though the underlying BaaS issuer has not been publicly disclosed.
