The story

Founded 2018 in Hong Kong as a corporate credit card issuer, Reap pivoted toward Web3/stablecoin-native financial infrastructure after its 2022 Series A. It became the world's first crypto credit card issuer, then broadened into cross-border payouts (Reap Pay) and embedded card issuing APIs. In 2025-2026, it positioned itself as agentic-payment infrastructure (Visa Intelligent Commerce partner) and was acquired by Payward, Kraken's parent, joining a group that includes Kraken, Krak, NinjaTrader, CF Benchmarks, and Breakout.
