Cledara

Can a SaaS subscription management platform become the finance team's full software-spend and business-spend control layer?

The story

Cledara started as a SaaS subscription management platform with virtual cards for software payments. Following the 2023 collapse of BaaS partner PayrNet (whose Lithuanian e-money license was revoked), Cledara pivoted onto Modulr in the UK/EU and CBW Bank in the US, and used the migration as a chance to broaden beyond SaaS-only payments into general business and travel spend (Cledara Spend). The company is now positioning as a SaaS management + spend management hybrid for finance teams.
