The story
Founded in 1997 as Bahrain's sole national interbank ATM/POS switch, BENEFIT expanded from pure switching infrastructure into digital payments and fintech services over two decades. The launch of BenefitPay as Bahrain's national e-wallet marked a pivot from pure B2B infrastructure to a consumer-facing payments platform. BENEFIT now operates as a multi-product fintech infrastructure company covering the national switch, payment gateway, credit bureau, wallet, and trust/certificate services — essentially acting as Bahrain's national payments utility.
