The story

Founded in 2000 as an online fashion retailer targeting 20-somethings globally, ASOS grew into one of the UK's largest e-commerce platforms. Facing challenging macroeconomic conditions in 2022-2023, ASOS undertook a major balance-sheet restructuring, replacing its revolving credit facility with a £275m Bantry Bay Capital facility in 2023. In 2025, ASOS upgraded its payments infrastructure by partnering with Checkout.com to improve acceptance rates and checkout performance for its global customer base.
