“Can ASOS stabilise its balance sheet and modernise its payments infrastructure to reclaim growth share in the increasingly competitive global online fashion market?”
Founded in 2000 as an online fashion retailer targeting 20-somethings globally, ASOS grew into one of the UK's largest e-commerce platforms. Facing challenging macroeconomic conditions in 2022-2023, ASOS undertook a major balance-sheet restructuring, replacing its revolving credit facility with a £275m Bantry Bay Capital facility in 2023. In 2025, ASOS upgraded its payments infrastructure by partnering with Checkout.com to improve acceptance rates and checkout performance for its global customer base.
