The story

Appello is a Canadian vertical SaaS company founded in 2023 after two years of embedded field research inside Vanos Insulations, a mechanical insulation contractor in Ontario. It sells a modular workforce/operations platform (timesheets, scheduling, job costing, safety, progress billing) purpose-built for industrial-commercial-institutional (ICI) trade subcontractors. There is no embedded finance product: the only financial workflow is progress invoicing that syncs to QuickBooks Online, and payroll runs through QuickBooks Payroll — Appello does not itself move money, issue cards, lend, or hold funds.
