Acumatica is a cloud ERP platform targeting mid-market businesses across manufacturing, construction, distribution, and retail. Rather than building proprietary embedded finance primitives, Acumatica has pursued a marketplace and connector strategy — embedding third-party fintech services (Stripe for payments, BILL for AP automation, Avalara and Vertex for tax, Plaid and MX for bank feeds) natively into the ERP workflow. The Acumatica Marketplace allows ISVs to extend the platform with additional finance capabilities (AR factoring, card processing). The strategic bet is on becoming the mid-market financial OS by aggregating best-of-breed fintech integrations rather than competing with them.
