Founders & story · from Open Ledger’s own dossier
Founded in 2024 by Pryce Yebesi (previously CPO of Utopia Labs, acquired by Coinbase) and Ashtyn Bell, Open Ledger emerged from stealth in January 2025 to build an embedded, AI-powered accounting API that lets SaaS platforms deliver QuickBooks-like bookkeeping inside their own products. In April 2026 the company was acquired by Collective, which plans to merge Open Ledger's API-first ledger with its bookkeeping/payroll/tax services for solo entrepreneurs.
