Founded 2010 as 1001 Menus, a website builder for restaurants. Rebranded to Zenchef in 2015 with an €6M round to expand into a full reservation and guest-management platform, positioning against OpenTable and LaFourchette with a commission-free model. In 2023 embedded payments became a core pillar via Adyen for Platforms (white-labeled as Zenchef Payment / Zenchef Payments), moving the company from pure booking SaaS toward an all-in-one restaurant OS — prepayments, no-show protection, pay-at-table, click & collect — now serving 11,000–15,000 restaurants across ~20 countries in Europe.
