Trulioo

Can one identity platform become the single global onboarding contract — KYC, KYB, documents, bank verification, fraud, and business credit — that regulated fintechs need to operate across every jurisdiction?

The story

Founded 2011 as a global KYC data aggregator, Trulioo positioned itself as the identity verification layer for cross-border fintech onboarding. After the 2021 TCV-led round it expanded aggressively beyond KYC data into a full identity platform — adding document verification (via the 2021 DIVA acquisition), business verification (KYB), watchlist screening, and most recently fraud intelligence, bank account verification, and business credit signals. The strategy has shifted from being a data broker across 400+ sources to becoming a single-contract orchestration platform for the entire onboarding lifecycle, competing head-on with Onfido, Persona, Sumsub and Alloy.
