Tekmetric started in 2015 as a shop-management SaaS for independent auto repair shops, launching its first product in 2017 out of Houston. It has expanded from pure workflow software into an embedded finance platform for shops: Tekmetric Payments (built on Stripe Connect), Text-to-Pay, Buy Now Pay Later via Affirm and Klarna, and Capital Financing via Stripe Capital — turning a vertical SaaS into the financial operating system for auto repair.
