The story

Sentral was founded in 1998 as a cloud-based school management platform for Australian schools. After a strategic investment from Armitage Associates, it was acquired in 2019 by Global Payments Inc., aligning its SIS software with Global Payments' technology-enabled payments strategy. Sentral has since become the education-vertical software arm of Global Payments, distributing Ezidebit (also a Global Payments subsidiary) as its embedded payments engine for school fees and StudentPayPlus/QuickCliq for canteen and uniform payments.
