Segpay

The story

Segpay was founded as a payment facilitator focused on online credit card processing for adult content and subscription-based digital merchants — a high-risk vertical historically underserved by mainstream processors. Over time, it built out direct merchant accounts, a secure gateway, and payment facilitation (PayFac) services across the US, UK, and EU, obtaining regulatory licenses in all three jurisdictions. More recently, Segpay has expanded beyond card processing into alternative payment methods (SEPA Direct Debit, Pay by Bank) and content creator payouts via a branded Visa virtual card (Segcard), reflecting a strategic pivot from pure payment processor to a broader digital payments platform targeting e-commerce and creator economy merchants.
