The story

Saxo began in 1992 as a Copenhagen brokerage, then became a genuine internet-native trader in 1998 with one of Europe's first online trading platforms and secured a Danish banking license in 2001. Over 30+ years it has evolved into a multi-asset online investment bank serving 1.5M+ clients and 285+ financial intermediaries (banks, brokers, fintechs) via an OpenAPI-first B2B2C outsourcing model. In 2023 the Danish FSA classified it as a SIFI. J. Safra Sarasin Group completed full acquisition in 2025, positioning Saxo as the digital trading engine within a private-banking parent.
