“Can a Brazilian ATM network turn its physical footprint into an embedded-finance channel — a 'bank and store' — as Pix erodes cash withdrawals?”
Founded 2010 as an independent Brazilian ATM operator competing with Banco24Horas under the 'Verdinho' brand. With Pix's rise threatening cash-machine relevance, Saque e Pague pivoted from pure cash-dispensing hardware into a financial-services platform: Pix Saque/Depósito, bill payment, Visa card deposits, Tele Sena sales, plus a digital account and marketplace ambition backed by a R$200M plan. In 2024 it incorporated its own regulated payments-institution entity, complementing the existing banking-correspondent relationship with Banco Topázio.
