“Can a decades-old cloud shop management system compound into a full financial OS for independent auto repair shops through embedded payments, consumer financing, and built-in accounting under the Vehlo umbrella?”
Protractor started in 2003 as an early cloud-based shop management system for independent auto repair shops and tire stores in North America. Over time it evolved from a pure workflow/SMS tool into a broader operating system with built-in accounting (general ledger, AR/AP, payroll), integrated payments via a 360 Payments partnership branded 'Protractor Payments', and one-click consumer financing (Synchrony via 360's CFP). It is now owned/operated under Vehlo, the automotive-industry software roll-up, and its embedded finance strategy is delivered almost entirely through 360 Payments as the underlying processor.
