The story

Paybix was founded in 2021 by three ex-SD Worx / Coca-Cola / KPMG payroll veterans as a Belgian orchestration layer for multi-country payroll. Rather than replacing local in-country payroll providers (ICPs), Epix sits on top of them — standardizing input, automating data exchange with HCM/WFM systems, and unifying reporting. Positioned explicitly as the 'Swift of payroll,' Paybix is a payroll-tech connectivity play — NOT an embedded finance / money-movement platform. It does not run pay disbursement, hold funds, or issue cards; local ICPs continue to perform gross-to-net and payment execution.
